Each program is designed to meet the school's specific needs. Here is an example:

TIME OF YEAR

TRANSITION TRAININGS

Anytime Adult Training -- one day

Peer Leader Training -- one or two days

Challenge Day Training for Peer Leaders (optional)

School year, bi-weekly Peer Leader training (conducted by the SOS program coordinator for 40 minutes during lunch, after school or during an advisory period)
September Building A Positive School Community -- Learning about school clubs and activities

Building a Greater Sense of Community -- Understanding school’s procedures, rules, key support staff

October Developing Cultural Competencies -- Valuing group differences and similarities

Accepting and Exploring Values -- Examining where and how we acquire them

November What and Why of Harassment -- Learning strategies for resolving harassment issues
